Interpreter Services
Wyoming Medical Center has access to a number of foreign language interpreters if you should require it. Interpreter Services help our many patients and families who don't speak English or are hearing or visually impaired. This service is free of charge to our patients and their family members. If you need interpreter services please ask your nurse and they will provide you with the Cyracom Transparent Language Service.
Patient Relations
If you have questions and/or comments regarding the care you received at Wyoming Medical Center, please contact the Wyoming Medical Center Patient Relations Representative at 307-577-CARE(2273). Our Patient Relations Representative is available from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to accept suggestions for improvement, and recognition for the great service that you received while at Wyoming Medical Center.
Chaplaincy Services
Wyoming Medical Center recognizes our community’s cultural diversity, and our chaplains strive to respect the beliefs and traditions of all people. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day for emergencies or stressful times, for visits before and after surgery, for ongoing support, to offer prayer when appropriate, to call for local clergy upon request and to make sacraments available. The chapel, which includes various devotional materials, rosaries, The Book of Mormon, The Book of Common Prayer and The Holy Bible in English, Spanish, large print and Braille, is on the second floor near the south lobby. To reach the chaplain, please call the hospital operator (dial 0) or 577-2417. To hear a new devotion each day, dial extension DEVO (3386).
Crisis Intervention Counseling
Counseling is available to help families of patients in critical condition. For more information please call the Nursing Office at 577-2173.
Ethical Decisions
Patients, families, healthcare providers and community members who wish to discuss ethical concerns should call our Nursing Office at 577-2173 at any time of the day. In addition, members of our multi-disciplinary Ethics Forum are available to meet with you and address your needs. Please call the operator (dial 0) to page an Ethics Forum member. Social Services
Social Services is available to help patients and their families with discharge planning such as home healthcare, referrals to community agencies, nursing home placement, clarification of insurance benefits and applications for disability benefits through Social Security and other social programs. Services are provided at no charge. A patient, family member or physician may call Social Services at 577-7951 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
