Wyoming Life Flight Membership Program
Depending on the distance, air medical transport and patient care charges can exceed $7,000. However, for only $60 per year or $250 for five years per household, Wyoming Life Flight membership covers medically urgent air transport to the nearest, most appropriate facility for an entire family. Businesses are eligible for group rates. We bill the member’s insurance company and accept any funds as payment in full. For those members without medical insurance, we pick up the entire cost. In all cases, we fly patients based on their medical need, regardless of membership status.
If you asked any of our 7,500 current enrollees, we’re certain they’d tell you this low-cost coverage makes good sense for anyone. It makes even more sense for heart patients, stroke victims, outdoors men and people who live in outlying areas. Members and non-members alike can enter important information such as latitude and longitude in our location registry to help our flight team arrive as quickly as possible in case of a medical emergency. Many ranches, mines and other isolated commercial entities with a high potential for accidents have taken advantage of this option.
The program also provides advantages for transplant patients, who must constantly remain prepared to travel in case an organ becomes available. The cost of a five-year membership is nothing compared to the cost of a last minute commercial flight, and immediate access to Life Flight eliminates the hassle of arranging for transportation and navigating crowded airports.
Once You’ve Enrolled
When your physician or emergency care provider informs you that you or a family member needs emergency air transport, be sure to mention your Wyoming Life Flight membership. All Wyoming hospitals can reach us through our toll-free number or via radio, and we will dispatch a dedicated flight team immediately.
